Kilchzimmer is situated 40 kilometres southeast of Basel, at 915 metres above sea-level in the Swiss Jura mountains.

Near to wooded slopes, with a beautiful view over the mountains, our house is in an ideal setting for anyone in need of a restful holiday.

Only 30 minutes walk away is a favourite lookout point from the Jura mountains - Bölchenflue - with a spectacular view of the Swiss Alps, the Black Forest and the Vosges.

There are many hiking trails in the meadowlands and pine forests in the area. The magnificent scenery and clear air are an added bonus to help you have a relaxing break.

Using Kilchzimmer as a base, it is possible to travel by car to other parts of Switzerland, France, and Germany.

Winter brings its own charm to the area. There is a floodlit ski-lift in the nearby village of Langenbruck (4 kilometres away) and a cross-country skiing course in Bärenwil (6 km).

Each year between January and May the facilities of the Centre are available to groups from churches and Christian organisations. There is comfortable accommodation for up to 55 people. It is also possible for individuals or families to come for holidays, at reasonable rates.

The property consists of five buildings, the main one dating from 1571. Although modernised, it still retains its old-fashion character.

CEF is an international and interdenominational organisation whose ministry is to reach the unreached children with the Gospel; to teach the Word of God to saved children that they might grow; and to guide the children into local evangelical churches.

Child Evangelism Fellowship is now working in almost all the countries of Europe. Our workers help local believers to teach the Word of God to children.
